The Classroom of the Future Foundation (CFF) is proud to host the marquee event in San Diego County for galvanizing the business and education community around innovation in the classroom. On May 22, 2019, CFF will celebrate its 16th annual event by convening more than 450+ educators and business leaders at SeaWorld San Diego to honor a group of classroom programs, educators, and students that model the future of K-12 education.

During this year’s ceremony called “Celebrating Innovation and Honoring Achievement”, we’ll announce the recipients of the 2019 Innovation Awards, recognize the 2019 class of High Tech Academic Achievement scholars, announce Special Awards for a few outstanding educators, and acknowledge the tremendous contributions made by teachers, schools, and businesses in the success of our students.

As leaders in San Diego County’s education and business communities we can work together to ensure that our students are prepared for the jobs of the future. Through your participation in this event, you are making this celebration possible and supporting our organization’s efforts to expand college and career pathway opportunities for all students and deliver innovative technology driven programs that result in higher student achievement.

AGENDA:

• 4:00pm - 6:00pm: Welcome Reception on Mission Bay Patio (new venue!): Hosted reception at the Mission Bay Theater Patio includes networking, food stations, refreshments, exhibit tables, and the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for amazing gift packages. Please note that we will stop serving food and refreshments at 6:00pm.  

• 6:00pm - 7:30pm: Awards Program in Mission Bay Theater: Awards Program in the beautiful Mission Bay Theater

• 7:30pm - 8:30pm: Dessert Reception on Mission Bay Patio: Networking, celebrating, and amazing desserts with coffee and tea

FAQs

What's the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by close of business on Wednesday, May 15th.

What is the event attire?

Business casual attire. We encourage you to wear comfortable shoes as it is a short walk from the main SeaWorld gate to the Mission Bay Patio (the new venue for our Welcome Reception). 

Is parking free? Where do I park?

Yes! Please enter SeaWorld through the toll booths. They will most likely be closed but if open tell them you are coming to the 16th Annual Innovation in Education Awards program.  PARKING IS FREE.  There will be plenty of parking spaces.  Please park at the MAIN GATE.

Where do I enter the event?

You will enter the event at the main SeaWorld gate (This is different from the Education gate, which is where our guests have entered the past two years). Go through the metal detectors, and on your left you will see the check in table for the event. Volunteers at check in will give you your official SeaWorld ticket to enter the park. Please enter the park with your ticket and go directly to the Mission Bay Theater Patio.

How do I get to the Welcome Reception at the Mission Bay Patio?

You can see a map here. There will be volunteers and signs pointing you in the right direction along the way.

Will dinner be served?

Yes, there will be food stations and refreshments provided during the Welcome Reception starting at 4:00pm. Seating is open at any of the tables. The menu will includes: Kahlua Pulled Pork Sliders, Crazy Chips with So-Cal Cheese, Jack Cheese, Guacamole & Pico de Gallo, Yaki Soba Stir Fry, Chef-carved Roast Turkey, Caesar Salad, Twice Baked Potatoes, Marinated & Grilled Vegetables, and more! Please note that the food will not be available after 6:00pm.

Where do I sit in the theater?

If you have no seat number listed on your name badge at check in, you may sit in any seat in the theater that is not reserved. If you have a seat number on your name badge – please sit in that seat so our floor manager can locate you and bring you up onto the stage.

What's the refund policy?

You may refund your purchase up to 1 day before the event.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Yes, we encourage you to bring your printed ticket to the event; however, if you forget that's ok. Our volunteers at registration will have your name on the list if you RSVP before the Wednesday, May 15th deadline.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Yes, it's ok if you need to subsitute. However, it is appreciated if you are able to update your ticket reservation through Eventbrite with the correct name before the event to avoid delays. If not, your replacement will likely need to write out a name tag at the registration desk.
